The Honeymoon...

Hmmm...honeymoon...pictures....hope nobody thinks they're going to see some x-rated stuff! Sorry, if you're disappointed, but these photos are shots of some of the things we saw on our travels during our honeymoon.

We had a terrific time at the lake. We went boating and exploring the trails in our 4x4 Suzuki Sport Sidekick. One evening, we crossed the border into Canada to enjoy the scenery. On the way back from the lake, we travelled down the scenic highways that roll through the White Mountain range of New Hampshire, into North Conway and then, after a stop over in Concord, New Hampshire at Glenda and Russ's home (James' sister and her husband) for a much needed rest, it was on to Boston before heading home!

We wanted to stay at the lake forever, but we'll be going back. Perhaps we'll make a trip there every year to celebrate the wonderful time we had and our life together.

This is Beaver Brook Falls,
a few miles outside
Pittsburg, New Hampshire.
The falls are surrounded by
a picnic area and you can
walk right up to the water via trails
and wooden bridges.
It's a beautiful place,
and very peaceful.

This is a view of First Connecticut Lake, the largest of the Connecticut Lakes. The mountains you see in the background are untouched by development. They are basically the same now as when Native Americans inhabited the area.

Here's Lori and our Husky,
Heidi (who was along on our
wedding trip!) in the boat that
we took out onto the lake
on Sunday afternoon.
We are partly
across the lake
in this photo.

This is a view of the lake
from the front porch of the
cabin we were married in.
The lake curves around
to the right for quite a
distance.

Here is a female moose (cow).
We were exploring some back
roads when she crossed right in
front of us. She stopped there to
eat and graciously allowed us to
take her picture! Moose are very
plentiful in the area, and take the tourists in stride. We also saw a beautiful
red fox while we were driving to the border crossing one evening. He was
quite intrigued by the sounds our Husky was making, and hung around to
check her out for quite awhile. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough light to get his picture.

We shot a video of our trip through the White Mountains and Boston and hopefully, we will be able to get some stills made from that to show everyone the rest of our trip!
